Samurai archery workshop
This “archery workshop” introduces the Bushido spirit of the Aizu region. Apart from the “form” of archery, the workshop also teaches manners and practices of the Bushi, or a samurai. The hall is a restoration of the “Nisshinkan”, which was the top school of the Aizu clan constructed in 1803 for developing elite talents of Aizu. The current Nisshinkan accurately recreated the state of the building at the time, and so visitors can also appreciate the magnificent Edo architecture as well as observe educational scenes from the old days.
